Pella Preservation Trust’s Annual Meeting October 8

Pella Preservation Trust invites all to its 32nd Annual Meeting to be held on Thursday, October 8, at the historic Pella Opera House on Franklin Street. There is no cost to attend.
The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with complimentary appetizers and cash bar reception, followed by the program commencing at 6:30pm, with special speaker, Mark Hansen, curator of The Wagner Collection, presenting, “Bill Wagner: Designing Pella, Preserving Iowa.”
Bill grew up in Pella and became a well-known Iowa architect, artist, and historic preservationist, having a major influence and role in Pella’s Dutch-front Main Street project, the restoration of the Pella Opera House, design of Pella’s Second Reformed Church, and The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum in West Branch, Iowa. 
On display will be a collection of Bill’s original sketches of our Main Street business and proposed Dutch front designs, along with other interesting Wagner pieces from the archives. The evening will also include the presentation of the 2026 Preservation and Landmark Awards.
